Reducing Transmission of SARS-CoV-2
Most respiratory viruses are transmitted through contact (direct or indirect between people and contaminated surfaces) or by airborne inhalation. Unlike other viruses where transmission is generally through infected individuals, COVID-19 appears to be spreading by asymptomatic individuals. The CDC has recommended 6ft social distancing, but studies additional distancing may be necessary at certain frequently visited locations (i.e., places with low ventilation.) Therefore, universal mask wearing, and testing have become some of the best ways to prevent the continued spread of COVID-19.
